BPM2: Data Integration

We define Data Integration as a process of Information Integration. Information Integration can take many forms but its most common form provides for the integration of data from different sources into a single view within an organization.

Our more complex Information Integration projects includes the integration (exchange of information) not only from one system to another, but between different information exchange partners. In the context of Distribution this would be the exchange of relevant information between stakeholders in a supply-chain. In the context of Health-Care this would be the exchange of medical records within a Health-Care Information Network (HIN) or Health-Care Information Exchange (HIE).
